Riparian Bottomlands Apportionment & Boundary Consulting
After his training at Ferris, he joined the firm of Ostling Surveys, in Roscommon, as a crew chief. In 1968, he was offered and accepted an opportunity to open a field office in Bellaire and in 1973 began Hughes Land Surveying.

In 1978, Art Gosling and Louie Czubak reorganized the long existing Traverse City firm of Perla Stout Associates under the new name of Gosling Czubak Associates and hired Corey as the new Director of Surveying.

With expansion into new areas of expertise in the mid 1980ís, the firm updated its name to its current name of Gosling Czubak Engineering Sciences, Inc. Corey continued to direct the surveying department until his retirement in September of 2004.

In 2004 Mr. Hughes began his Riparian Bottomlands Apportionment and Boundary Consulting firm and it continues to offer Riparian Bottomlands Apportionment Surveys and Expert Witness testimony in matters of riparian conflicts.

Riparian Bottomlands Apportionment & Boundary Consulting
Mr. Hughes is a life long resident of Michigan. Having lived  Case Lake (Oakland County) and Higgins Lake (Roscommon County), he established a life long interest and attraction to the waters of Michigan. 

After graduation from Roscommon High School, he enrolled in the Surveying program at Ferris State University in their Surveying Program.  At that time, the Ferris program was an Associate of Surveying in connection with the Michigan Department of Transportation.
